Trigger and cycle
Devices with VAuto, S and ST modes have adjustable trigger/cycle sensitivity to optimise changes in patient sleep patterns. Under normal conditions, the device triggers (initiates IPAP) and cycles (terminates IPAP and switches to EPAP) as it monitors and corrects patient respiration. ResMed's VSync automatic leak management recognises and corrects patient breath patterns.
