Fall time (S, ST, PAC, T, and iVAPS modes)
Fall time controls how quickly the therapy device lowers the air pressure from IPAP (inhale) to EPAP (exhale).
What to consider:
A shorter fall time reduces pressure more quickly and may help patients with obstructive lung conditions.
A longer fall time slows the pressure decrease and may feel more comfortable for patients with restrictive lung conditions.
Note
Fall time isn’t available on all therapy devices.
