Intended use
ResScan Essentials is intended to augment the standard follow-up care of patients by transferring and analysing machine and therapeutic information from ResMed compatible therapy devices to the ResScan Essentials application.
Note
For any serious incidents that occur in relation to ResScan Essentials, these should be reported to ResMed and the competent authority in your country.
Intended patient populations and medical conditions
ResScan Essentials is compatible with ResMed PAP or ventilator devices and functions only when used in conjunction with the compatible parent device. The intended patient populations and medical conditions for ResScan Essentials software thus follow that of the compatible PAP or ventilator device.
This may include obstructive pulmonary diseases (including Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), restrictive pulmonary diseases (which include diseases of the lung parenchyma, diseases of the chest wall, and neuromuscular diseases), central respiratory regulation diseases and obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA).
